EMBRACE INNER PEACE BY BEING SPIRITUALLY MINDED
Our minds are such an important aspect of who we are as human beings. It is through the ideas and thoughts that we entertain that our minds are either conformed to the mind of Christ or formed in opposition to his mind. To be spiritually minded bring forth life and peace. Our minds are primary battleground which set the trajectory for every other aspect of our person. Learning to conquer and overcome the negative or sinful thoughts and ideas that are in our minds is important.
This is not to saying we suppress these ideas and thoughts. Trying to suppress or avoid them will only lead to anger, anxiety, fear and stress.
So, in difficult circumstances what can we do? We don't want to give in to evil or sinful thoughts, but we also don't want to suppress them. Don't allow yourself to be on the devil's playground because he is cunning, deceptive, crafty and a great manipulator. As the scripture states in, James 4:7, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. When we resist temptation, desire and what this world have to offer, only then we can truly be spiritually minded which bring us life and peace.
If we submit ourselves to Christ, it is he who transforms our minds and fill our hearts with so much love that you'll only speak and act in a Christlike manner to others. We imperceptibly begin to take on his thoughts and ideas, his ways of thinking which are higher that we could have ever imagined or think.
It is at this junction that we realize that we need the Power of the HOLY SPIRIT which is greater than us. It is the Holy Spirit that convicts our hearts and renew our minds from the evil that exist into this world. Therefore, let us be Spiritually minded and recognize that the battleground is in our minds, and we must submit our weakness to the Lord Jesus Christ and to God's Will to be transformed in the renewal of our minds.
As Apostle Paul says, “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10.
